भिलाई स्टील प्लांट में 1500 बांग्लादेशी मजदूरों की आशंका, सतर्क रहने की जरूरत!

भिलाई इस्पात संयंत्र (बीएसपी) में कार्यरत ठेका श्रमिकों को लेकर एक गंभीर चिंता सामने आई है। एक हालिया गोपनीय रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, संयंत्र में लगभग 1,500 बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों के मौजूद होने की आशंका है। वर्तमान में, संयंत्र में लगभग 28,000 ठेका श्रमिक कार्यरत हैं, जिनमें से लगभग 2,500 बंगाली भाषी श्रमिक हैं। इसी अंतिम समूह में राष्ट्रीयता को लेकर गंभीर संदेह उत्पन्न हुए हैं।

सूत्रों से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, पहले तैयार की गई एक गोपनीय सूची में अधिकांश संदिग्ध श्रमिक पश्चिम बंगाल से जुड़े पाए गए थे। आगे की जांच में यह भी सामने आया है कि इनमें से कई व्यक्तियों के पास महाराष्ट्र से जारी किए गए आधार कार्ड और राशन कार्ड हैं, जिससे उनकी पहचान और मूल निवास को लेकर और सवाल खड़े हो गए हैं। पुलिस और खुफिया विभाग दोनों ही इन दस्तावेजों और संबंधित व्यक्तियों की पृष्ठभूमि के गहन सत्यापन में सक्रिय रूप से लगे हुए हैं।

ठेकेदारों की भूमिका भी गहन जांच के दायरे में है, जिन पर आरोप है कि उन्होंने उचित पृष्ठभूमि सत्यापन के बिना इन श्रमिकों को काम पर रखा है। प्रतिक्रिया में, अधिकारियों ने सख्त निर्देश जारी किए हैं कि जब तक पूरी सत्यापन प्रक्रिया पूरी नहीं हो जाती, तब तक किसी भी श्रमिक को काम पर नहीं लगाया जाएगा। दुर्ग के वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक विजय अग्रवाल ने पुष्टि की है कि बीएसपी के ठेका श्रमिकों की पूरी तरह से जांच की जाएगी। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि किसी भी संदिग्ध श्रमिक के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी, और यह पूरी प्रक्रिया सरकारी दिशानिर्देशों के तहत सख्ती से की जाएगी। यह घटनाक्रम बड़े औद्योगिक परिसरों में भर्ती प्रथाओं में बेहतर निगरानी की महत्वपूर्ण आवश्यकता को उजागर करता है ताकि संभावित राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा या अवैध आप्रवासन के मुद्दों को रोका जा सके।

A significant concern has emerged regarding the workforce at the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), with a recent confidential report indicating the potential presence of around 1,500 Bangladeshi nationals among its contract laborers. The plant currently engages approximately 28,000 contractual workers, with about 2,500 identified as Bengali-speaking. It is within this latter group that serious doubts about nationality have arisen.

Sources reveal that an earlier confidential list pointed towards a strong connection between many suspected laborers and West Bengal. Further investigation has uncovered that several of these individuals possess Aadhaar and ration cards issued from Maharashtra, raising further questions about their identity and origin. Both the police and intelligence departments are actively involved in the thorough verification of these documents and the backgrounds of the individuals in question.

The role of contractors is also under intense scrutiny, with allegations that many have employed these laborers without conducting proper background checks or due diligence. In response, authorities have issued strict directives that no worker is to be assigned duties until the entire verification process is concluded. Vijay Agrawal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Durg, has affirmed that a comprehensive investigation will be carried out into the contractor-employed laborers at BSP. He emphasized that stringent action will be taken against any worker found to be suspicious, with the entire process adhering strictly to government-mandated guidelines. This development highlights a critical need for enhanced oversight in the hiring practices for large industrial complexes to prevent potential national security or illegal immigration issues.
